Die Vorlesung befasst sich mit den grundlegenden Konzepten und Protokollen für verteilte Systeme.

Die Vorlesung beginnt mit Grundlagen zur verteilten Kommunikation:

  • Serialisierung (ASN.1, CORBA XDR, SOAP)
  • Remote Procedure Calls
  • Verteilte Objekte

und widmet sich dann wichtigen Basisalgorithmen

  • Physikalische Uhren
  • Logische Uhren
  • Transaktionen
  • Synchronisation
  • Replikation und Konsistenz
  • Globaler Zustand
